Abstract

The object of this Act is to make provision for the protection and conservation of native animals and native plants, and for the reservation of areas for those purposes. It comprises 14 Parts divided into 140 sections, providing provisions on, among others, the establisment of the Flora and Fauna Committee, the nature conservation strategy, the protection of animals, fishes and plants, the declaration of prohibited and controlled organisms, the management of reserved areas and other administrative matters.
