Abstract This Act lays down rules for the institution of a clean and manageable framework to guide and enhance the delivery of youth development programs and services; coordination, direction and support the development of youth programs; establishment of higher standards of youth development programs in all youth related service delivery; improvement of the participation of youths in youth development programs, national platforms and services; support for excellence, leadership and innovative performance of youth and youth service providers through capacity building programs, incentives and research; and monitoring and evaluation of all programs aimed at integrating the youth into the economy and society in general. This Act sets forth provisions on the establishment, composition, functions and powers of the National Youth Authority, National Youth Council and other Youth Committees and Youth sub-committees; registration of service providers, youth workers and youth groups and non-formal training programs; and funding and financial management of the Authority.
