Abstract

The Decree provides for the establishment of a National Water and Sewerage Corporation of Uganda. The Corporation shall be a Water Authority and shall exercise all powers conferred on a Water Authority by the Waterworks Act (sect. 1). The Corporation shall take over functions and duties of the Kampala, Jinja and Entebbe District Water Boards and from any local authority as shall be specified in a Statutory Order of the Minister (sects. 9-10). The Corporation may make regulations with the prior approval of the Minister (sect. 29). (35 sections and 2 Schedules)
