Abstract

These Regulations formulate rules relative to mining operations for purposes of protection of water resources. They require new mining operations to be notified and prohibit mining and related operations in specified water conservation zones. Every person in control of mine shall take specified measures for the containment of polluted water and shall take reasonable steps to prevent water pollution or irregularities in water-flow. Special rules are applying to the winning of sand and alluvial minerals from a watercourse.
