Its main goals include in-situ conservation of biological diversity; accounting for and socio-economic assessment of the country biological capacity and its balanced use in the legal framework; expanding the genetic fund, and providing genetic independence and biological security of the country; and establishing conditions for conservation of the genetic fund of agricultural crop varieties, in particular, of agricultural animals and making agricultural land more productive.
