Abstract

These Regulations implement the National Parks Act 1975 by providing, among others, for promoting, within parks, the preservation and protection of flora, fauna, indigenous fish and features of natural, scenic, archaeological, ecological, geological, historic or scientific interest or significance; the protection of buildings, structures, permanent works, facilities and amenities; the protection of designated water supply catchment areas and other water supply catchment areas; and the safety, enjoyment, recreation and education of visitors. The Regulations also concern fees and the proceedings of the National Parks Advisory Council and of advisory committees.
