Subject Wild species & ecosystems, Waste & hazardous substances Keyword Pollution control Protected area Hunting/capture Geographical area Africa, Eastern Africa, Indian Ocean, Small Island Developing States Abstract These Regulations prohibit the carrying out of the following acts in the La Digue Veuve Special Reserve, whcih is described by the National Parks (La Digue Veuve Special Reserve) (Designation) Order of 1991: (a) disturbing or damaging any marine or terrestrial plant or animal or its habitat or any eggs, spawn, nests of shells; (b) ) introduction of living creatures in the Reserve; (c) polluting; (d) introduction or having in possession of weapons or illegal poisons; and (e) the lighting of fires. The Director of Conservation of National Parks of the Department of Environment may authorize such acts for purposes of the management of the Reserve or scientific research and may impose other restrictions on activities in the Reserve.
