Abstract

The Regulations are made by the Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining pursuant to the provisions of the National Parks and Wildlife Act. The Regulations prohibit the keeping of wild animals in captivity without obtaining a licence. The Regulations provide the procedure for making an application for a licence. The Regulations authorize inspection officers to carry out routine inspections on premises where animals are kept in captivity. The Regulations further provide that a person shall not release nor kill an animal in captivity without getting prior authorization.
