The Regulations prohibit the keeping of wild animals in captivity without obtaining a licence. The Regulations provide the procedure for making an application for a licence. The Regulations authorize inspection officers to carry out routine inspections on premises where animals are kept in captivity. The Regulations further provide that a person shall not release nor kill an animal in captivity without getting prior authorization.
