Subject Wild species & ecosystems, Waste & hazardous substances Keyword Pollution control Protected area Hunting/capture Geographical area Africa, Eastern Africa, Indian Ocean, Small Island Developing States Abstract These Regulations prohibit the carrying out of the following acts in the Aldbara Island Special Reserve as described by the National Parks (Aldbara Island Special Reserve) (Designation) Order of 1981: (a) damaging of any property of the Seychelles Islands Foundation; (b) disturbing of damaging any marine or terrestrial plant or animal or its habitat or any eggs, spawn, nests of shells; (c) introduction of any animal or plant capable or reproducing itself in the Reserve; (d) polluting; (e) introduction or having in possession of weapons or illegal poisons; (f) and the lighting of fires. The Seychelles Islands Foundation may authorize such acts for purposes of the management of the Reserve or scientific research.
