Abstract

These Regulations amend the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) Regulations in relation with, among other things: definitions; duties of the National Management Authority; the authorization of the National Management Authority for the use of an alternative port for the import, export or re-export of live specimens of CITES listed species where the survival of these specimens may be at risk; requirements for import of any specimen of species included in Appendix III; and exemptions (personal effects). They also Make an a minor amendment to Appendix VI.
