Abstract

These Regulations of the Minister of Environmental Affairs and made under section 20 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004 concern the implementation and enforcement of the the Vaal Triangle Air-Shed Priority Area Air Quality Management Plan in order to ensure that ambient air of the area complies with air quality objectives set out in the Plan. Stakeholders (as defined) must every five years review and submit revised emission reduction strategies and the Plan shall be reviewed every five years. Any amendment to the Plan shall involve public participation. The Regulations define offences.
