Abstract

These Regulations of the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, made under section 53 read together with section 32 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004, prescribe general measures for the control of dust in all areas. They set acceptable dustfall standards and provide with respect to a dustfall monitoring programme and relative report that may be required by an air quality officer. A person who has exceeded dustfall standards must submit a dustfall management plan to the air quality officer.
