Abstract

The purpose of the Act is to establish a nationally consistent approach to the assessment of site contamination to ensure sound environmental management practices by the community which includes regulators, site assessors, environmental auditors, land owners, developers and industry. The Act is divided in 22 Volumes, and each of them entails specific Measures/Schedules for dealing with site contamination and each of them should be read in conjunction.
