The Council shall consist of members appointed by the Prime Minister, politicians, public officers and representatives of various sectors and organizations of Antigua and Barbuda. The Council shall promote the goals of economic growth, create consensus on economic and social policy and carry out other functions specified in section 3. There shall be an executive Committee of the Council (sect. 9), which shall conduct the business under direction of the Council. Functions of the Executive Committee are outlined in section 10. Section 11 provides for a Secretariat and staff of the Council. The Council may establish various committees, amongst others an environmental protection and Disaster Committee. The Council may submit reports to various Ministries, including reports on agriculture, fisheries and the environment. (17 sections) Full text English
