Objectives and functions of the Agency shall be: (a) to implement the national development programme for aquatic resources through the utilization of scientific and technological expertise; (b) to promote and conduct research activities for the development of aquatic resources, with particular reference to oceanography, fishing gear and equipment, processing and trade of fish products. Further provisions concern powers and duties of the Agency, constitution and powers of the Governing Board, constitution and powers of the National Aquatic Resources Management Council and of the Scientific and Technical Committee. Final provisions govern the financial management of the Agency.
