Abstract

Section 2 of the above-mentioned Regulations establishes that the areas of the sea in the Musquash Estuary comprised of the management zones described in this section – and depicted in the Schedule – shall be together designated as the Musquash Estuary Marine Protected Area. Section 5 establishes that every person who proposes to carry out a scientific, educational, archaeological, commercial tourism or habitat restoration activity in the Area shall submit to the Minister for approval, not less than 60 days before the day on which the activity is proposed to begin, a plan containing the information and documents listed in this section. The text – consisting of 8 sections – deals with the following aspects: interpretation, designation, prohibited activities, exceptions, activity plan, reporting of accidents and coming into force.
