Abstract

This Regulation enacts the Waste Management Act, with regard to Mushroom Composting Pollution. Section 2 states that a person is exempt from section 3 (2) and (3) of the Waste Management Act for the purposes of the operation of a mushroom composting facility if the person (a) has submitted a pollution prevention plan under section 2 of the Schedule respecting the mushroom composting facility, and (b) complies with the conditions in the Schedule. These conditions are concerning; Discharge causing pollution; respecting Design and Operation; respecting Reporting; and Posting of security. However there are exceptions to this general exemption in section 2(2).
