The Act provides for the appointment of members of the Murray-Darling Basin Commission and defines its functions and powers. The Act contains provisions also on juridical matters, accession of other parties (sect. 29) and penalties. The Act is completed by two schedules, one containing the Murray-Darling Basin Agreement and one containing the Murray-Darling Basin Amending Agreement.
