The owner or occupier of any premises may be required by notice in writing to trim hedges, to lop trees or to clear land overgrown with vegetation within such time and to such dimension or otherwise as may be specified in such notice. Any person who fails to comply with such notice shall be guilty of an offence and the Council may, on such non compliance, cause works specified in the notice to be carried out at the expense of such person.
