Abstract

This Act provides for the constitution of municipal corporations. It also, among other things, provides rules for public spaces in municipalities and grants various powers to corporation councils. Municipal corporations may, among other things, take care of water supplies, sewerage and regulate and control markets, slaughterhouses, vending, food (especially meat and fish) marketing and production. The Act also contains a provision on the landing of fish.
