Dimensions and statute of conservation zones shall ensure protection of nature complexes against negative impact. Decision of setting up conservation zones shall be made by the Cabinet of Ministers simultaneously with setting up protected area or in case of necessity. Conservation zone shall be set up without expropriation of land plots (waterbodies) from land tenants (water users). The following activities can be prohibited or restricted in conservation zones: (a) fisheries; (b) timber extraction; (c) hunting and capture; (d) recreational uses; (e) construction; (f) use of pesticides and chemicals; (g) ploughing up; and (h) other economic activities that can have negative impact on protected area.
