Abstract

This Part of Chapter 373 of the Florida Statutes contains miscellaneous provisions of the Florida Water Resources Act of 1972. More specifically, it provides for the power of the Department of Environmental Protection or the governing board of any water management district and any officer or agent thereof to enforce law; awards to employees for meritorious service; group insurance for water management districts; criminal history checks for certain water management district employees and others; minority business enterprise procurement goals, and implementation of recommendations; patents, copyrights, and trademarks; city and county officers to assist in enforcement; defaulting contractors; penalties; unlawful damage to district property or works, and related penalty; judicial review relating to permits and licenses; public service warnings, alerts, and announcements; recognition of water and sewer-saving devices; water conservation and automatic sprinkler systems; water conservation; preference to State University System in award of projects or studies; and Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin Compact.
