Abstract

These Rules, made under section 6 of the Public Works Act, make provision with respect to the public order and protection of public property in an area called New Providence. The Rules, among other things: prohibit littering of and the disposal of waste in public places; prohibit, save by permission of the Minister, grazing of any animal to graze in, upon or over any public road or place; require owners or occupiers of premises to keep vegetation and waste under control; and empower the Director of Public Works to take measures if the Rules are not observed.
