Abstract This ٌRegulation consisting of 11 articles aims at developing livestock sector and protecting animal and public health establishing that all imported animals, including camels, cattle, sheeps, and goats, must be identified and registered by tracking the animals and controlling their movements. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority shall create accounts for animal importers in order to identify and register animals in the name of the importer. The importer must provide the tags with the number indicated on the import permit issued by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. The tag number shall be used also when the animals are (i) re-exported; (ii) transported; (iii) at the entrance and exit of the markets; and (iv) at the entrance to slaughterhouses.
