Abstract This Regulation consisting of 15 articles and establishes that the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (i) issues special resolutions regarding conditions and criteria for practicing animal welfare; (ii) monitors the implementation of standardized standards on the establishments. Article 3 lists the actions considered a violation of the provisions of the law and this regulation that will be pursued. Article 4 deals with the responsibilities of the animal owner. Article 5 regards the admitted methods to encouraging an animal to move. Article 6 regards competence, experience, and know-how needed by owners of animals or the workers responsible for taking care of animals in dealing with them. Chapter IV is dedicated to the Animal Installations in terms of (i) Convenient location; (ii) licenses to organizing exhibitions, fairs, holding competitions and animal shows; (iii) licenses obtained from the Ministry to establish commercial animal facilities; (iv) appointment of a veterinarian; (v) temporary licensing of new facilities; (vi) inspections; (vii) animal transport; (viii) use of animals for scientific purposes; and (ix) disposal of animals.
