This Resolution enters into force on the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the production, preparation, examination and exportation of potatoes to the European Community. It is composed of 9 articles and the Regulation. The production, preparation, examination and exportation of potatoes to the European Community shall be carried out in accordance with the attached Regulation (art. 1). Article 2 entrusts the Minister of Trade and Industry to define the exportation’s ports. Article 3 charges the Committee for Regulating the Exportation of Potatoes to monitor and control the implementation of the attached Regulation. Articles 4-8 define the measures, procedures and penalties to be taken by the Quarantine Centres in case of appearance of diseases. The Regulation consists of the following matters: (a) authorized exporters; (b) requirements and conditions for the production of potatoes intended to be exported to the European Community; (c) procedures and measures for the cultivation and preparation of potatoes; (d) monitoring and control of the exportation; and (e) allowed quantity to be exported.
