Abstract This 8-article Resolution is designed to establish health and technical prerequisites for poultry production farms with the following objectives (i) preventing the dissemination of epidemic diseases, including those with zoonotic potential; (ii) ensuring adherence to animal welfare standards; (iii) promoting increased domestic poultry production; (iv) enhancing food security; (v) safeguarding the health and quality of animal products derived from these farms. The Resolution covers the following aspects (i) licensing requirements; (ii) health and technical criteria for poultry farms, including their location outside residential areas, accessibility, connectivity, elevated position, and flood-free zones; (iii) construction standards; (iv) operational guidelines; and (v) measures to prevent and address animal diseases, prompt veterinarian alerts, and strategies to mitigate the potential transmission of such diseases to humans.
