This Resolution enters into force on 24 May 2003.
Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 6 articles. Article 1 deals with the formation and management of the Committee. Article 2 defines the following competencies and duties of the Committee: (a) to lay down conditions and requirements for organic fertilizers factories; (b) to take decisions in applications submitted for the establishment of organic fertilizers factories; (c) to carry out periodic controls and inspections on the authorized factories; (d) to lay down the basis for the control, use, treatment, processing and inspection of the organic fertilizers factories; (e) to lay down instructions and directives related to registers of organic fertilizers factories; (f) to issue resolutions necessary for regulating the activities of organic fertilizers factories; and (g) to regulate the importation of the raw organic fertilizers. The Committee shall meet once at least monthly (art. 3). The Committee shall present reports to the Minister of Agriculture and Fish Resources (art. 5).
