Abstract

This Decree, made under the Ordinance on Slaughter of Animals and Inspection of Meat, prohibits the importation and transit of living cattle, pigs, sheep and goats originating from countries other than the Netherlands, the United States, Canada and countries of the European Community. Transportation of such animals shall be accompanied by a certificate of origin and each animal imported shall have an export mark. Cattle, sheep and goats of Colombia and Venezuela may be imported if: destined for immediate slaughter; accompanied by a certificate of origin and; properly marked.
