Abstract

The Ordinance establishes the seizure of the breedings already contaminated and of the breedings exposed to the risk of contamination, as well. Other measures concern the census of all animals, the isolation of infected animals and restrictions on the transport of meat and carcasses. The Ordinance makes provision for the slaughtering of the animals, to be carried out within 24 hours of the detection of the disease, and the destruction of the carcasses.
