Abstract

The present Ordinance concerns the compilation and implementation of the plan for the eradication of the vesicular disease of the swine (MVS), according to the provisions of EC Resolution of 22 November 1996 of the Commission. On the basis of the data collected during the last two years, the Ordinance sets out conditions and criteria for the taking of samples and the serological tests to be carried out in the breeding, as well as the periodical surveys to be performed by the competent sanitary authorities. A report of the results of said surveys shall be forwarded every three months to the European Union by the Ministry of Health. The Ordinance establishes also the measures to be taken in case of detection of the disease. The implementation of the plan shall be financed by the National Sanitary Fund.
