Abstract This Ministerial Order approves the Internal Regulation of the National Institution for Fish Inspection, IP, approved by Resolution No. 30/2020 of 23 July. The Regulation, consisting of 54 articles divided into five Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Institution, entitled to perform the following actions: a) sanitary licensing of production units and processing operators, handling of fishery products and by-products; b) health certification of fishery products; c) conduct research programmes and provide services as a result of official controls; d) carry out health/sanitary control and other inspection.
