Abstract This Ministerial Order approves the Regulation of the Kimberley Process Management Unit, Precious Metals and Gemstones (UGKP). The Regulation, consisting of 41 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of this public institution endowed with technical and administrative autonomy, subordinated to the Minister who oversees the area of Mineral Resources, whose object is to define its organic system, functions and operations. This Regulation applies to all Employees and State Agents and Technical Brigades in service at the UGPK and to experts from different sectors that make up the Technical Brigade, pursuant to article 15 of Resolution No. 22/2017 of 24 November. The UGPK's aims at the implementation of the Kimberley Process, namely, the management of technical and administrative procedures for screening, security and control of rough diamonds, within the scope of the Kimberley Process and the commercialization of precious metals and gemstones.
