Abstract

This Ministerial Order defines the Annual Plan for the Export of Processed Wood of Native Species in Mozambique, under article 119 of the Law of Forests and Wildlife, approved by Decree No. 12/2002 of 6 June. The Annual Plan is a document containing species, product types and quantities of sawn wood to be exported in a given year. The annual export plan must be submitted from the 1st of September to the 30th of November of the previous year, by filling in the model in Annex 1. The export of processed wood from native species is only allowed to concessionaire forestry operators, industrial operators and the National Fund for Sustainable Development. For each exporter of processed wood, only one authorization for exporting wood from native species is issued, valid for one year, upon presentation of the annual export plan. After authorization of the annual export plan and whenever desired, the exporter must submit a request for the export of processed wood in accordance with article 7 of Decree No. 42/2017 of 10 August.
