Abstract This Ministerial Order approves the Regulation of the Inspector General of Mineral Resources and Energy (IGREME). This Regulation, consisting of 46 articles divided into five Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the IGREME, who is a Public Institution, endowed with legal personality and with administrative and technical autonomy, which ensures compliance with the Laws, Regulations and other rules applicable to mining, oil and energy activities. IGREME carries out its activities throughout the National Territory and has its headquarters in the City of Maputo. IGREME is represented at the Provincial and District level by a Delegation created by the Minister who oversees the Area of Mineral Resources and Energy, after hearing the Minister who oversees the area of Finance and the State Representative in the Province where the delegation intends to be implanted.
