Abstract

This Ministerial Order establishes the annual quota of timber logging of precious species. Having the need to guarantee the sustainability of the forestry exploitation of precious wood species, pursuant to article 2 of Decree No. 12/81 of 25 July this Order establishes that independently of the volumes contained in the management plans for each operator in the single license and forestry concession regime, the annual quota for exploration of precious woods is set at 36,476 m3 of Pau-preto, Pau-rosa, Ebano, Muoma, Inhamarre, Mbuti, Black Grouse, Tule, Sandalwood and Nkula, distributed by species and provinces as per the table attached to this Order. It is under the responsibility of the Provincial Governor to manage and allocate the above mentioned quota in accordance with the number of eligible operators, taking into account the potential of each area of exploitation, as well as the operating capacity of each operator.
