Abstract This Ministerial Order approves the Regulation of the National Fisheries Administration (ADNAP). The Regulation of ADNAP, consisting of 5 Chapters, specifies composition, functions, and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to: control fishing activities according to fishing management measures; monitor the state of fisheries exploitation and assess its environmental impact; propose, adopt and implement management measures necessary to sustainable fishing activities; guarantee the functioning of the fisheries participatory management system; promote responsible fishing activities and the development of new fishing technologies; give advice to the Ministry of Fisheries on the management of the sector through designing the fisheries legislation. The Regulation is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Organic Structure (Chap. II); Functions and responsibilities over fisheries sector management (Chap. III); Composition (Chap. IV); Final provisions (Chap. V).
