Abstract This Ministerial Order, composed of two articles and one Annex, approves the Regulation on Water Quality for human consumption. The aim is to define water quality parameters and their control procedures with the view of protecting human health during the whole water cycle. The annexed Regulation, composed of 25 articles and three annexes, further identifies the scope of application and the competent authorities. Moreover, it sets quality standards, including chemical products used for water treatment, and regulates quality control procedures and inspections. Finally, it sets reporting requirements and rules on applicable penalties. The annexes provide technical and chemical reference parameters.
