This Ministerial Order enters into force on 15 November 2023 and expires on 15 March 2024.
Abstract

This Ministerial Order, under Law No. 22/2013, establishes the effective prohibition period for surface shrimp fisheries, from November 15, 2023 to March 14, 2024, inclusive, for artisanal purse-seine trawl to land and on-board fisheries and bottom gillnets, at Banco de Sofala and in the District of Govuro. The prohibition period applies exclusively to the following vessels, fishing gear, means of transport and establishments: a) purse-seine to land and onboard trawl (manual and motor); b) bottom gillnets; c) wholesale and retail fish sale establishments; d) vehicles and other means used to transport fish; e) fish processing establishments; f) all fishing vessels used to capture surface shrimp.
