Abstract This Ministerial Order establishes the closed season for mangrove crab fishing in the entire maritime coastal zone of Mozambique, from 1 November to 31 December 2021, for all fishing operators engaged in the activity of mangrove crab catching. Fishing product processing establishments that handle, process and sell mangrove crab in the national territory are prohibited from acquiring, transporting, selling, handling or processing new batches of mangrove crab, from production and collection, in the period between the days from 1 November to 31 December 2021. For this purpose, fishing companies and operators must submit to the competent local authorities of Fish Inspection the declaration of the existence of raw material and final product until 31 October 2021.
