Abstract This Ministerial Order, under Law No. 22/2013, establishes the closed season for surface shrimp fishing in the areas between: the parallels 16'º South and 19º 47' South: from 14 November 2023 to 31 December 2023, inclusive, for fishing vessels industrial and semi-industrial motor trawling fishing, with ice conservation and freezing on board; the coordinates that extend from the coast to a line that joins the point 19º 47´ South and 35º 00' East, with the point 21º 00' South and 35º 11' East: from November 14, 2023 to December 31, 2023, including, for semi-industrial motor trawling fishing vessels, ice conservation and onboard freezing. The closed season applies exclusively to the following fishing vessels, fishing gear, means of transport and establishments: a) Purse seine - trawling to land and board (manual and motor); b) bottom gill nets; c) wholesale and retail fish sale establishments; d) vehicles and other means used to transport fish; e) processing establishments; f) all vessels used for surface shrimp fishing.
