This Ministerial Order enters into force on 15 November 2023 and expires on 31 December 2023.
Abstract

This Ministerial Order, under Law No. 22/2013, establishes the closed period for surface shrimp fishing, from the 15th of November to the 31st of December 2023, inclusive, in the entire area between the estuary Foz do Rio Limpopo and Farol de Quissico, delimited by the points defined by the following geographic coordinates: Point A: 25º 16’S and 33º 20’E; Point B: 25º 25’S and 33º 20’E; Point C: 25º 00’S and 35º 00’E; Point D: Quissico Lighthouse. Processing establishments and sales outlets that process and sell production from semi-industrial and artisanal fishing, including operators who purchase, store, sell and transport fish, are prohibited from acquiring, transporting, handling, processing or sell shrimp and their accompanying fauna between November 14th and December 31st, 2023.
