This Ministerial Order enters into force on 1 November 2022 and expires on 31 December 2022.
Abstract

This Ministerial Order establishes the closed season for surface shrimp fishing, from 1 November 2022 to 31 December 2022 for the entire length between the mouth of the Limpopo River and Quissico Lighthouse, delimited by the following geographical coordinates: Point A: 25º 16'S and 33º 20'E; Point B: 25º 25'S and 33º 20'E; Point C: 25º 00'S and 35º 00'E; Point D: Quissico Lighthouse. This closed season applies exclusively to the following fishing vessels, fishing gear, fish transport and markets: a) Semi-industrial fishing vessels for motor trawling and small pelagic fish trawling; b) Artisanal fishing vessels for motor trawling, onboard trawling and beach trawling; c) Trawling and gillnets known as chithamuthamo; d) Wholesale and retail fish sales markets; and e) Vehicles and other means used for transport of fish.
