This Ministerial Order enters into force on 1 January 2023 and expires on 14 March 2023.
Abstract

This Ministerial Order establishes the closed season for surface shrimp fishing in the period from 1 November 2022 to 14 March 2023, inclusive, for artisanal trawling and bottom gill fishing in Banco de Sofala and in Inhambane Province. This fishing prohibition applies exclusively to the following fishing vessels, fishing gear, fish transport and markets: a) Artisanal trawl fishing vessels; b) Land trawls, on board and powered; c) Wholesale and retail fish sales markets; and d) Vehicles and other means used to transport fish from trawling.
