Abstract This Decision establishes supplementary measures for the smaller Aegean islands concerning the production of special quality honey, in compliance with EEC Regulations Nos. 2019/93/EEC and 3063/93/EEC (as amended by other Regulations). Aid shall be granted for the production of quality honey specific to the Aegean islands, containing a large proportion of thyme honey. The aid shall be paid to groups of honey producers, recognized in accordance with EEC Regulation No. 1360/78 on the basis of the number of registered production hives, which undertake to implement annual programmes of initiatives designed to improve the conditions under which quality honey is marketed and promoted.
