Abstract

Aim of this Decision is to prescribe administrative sanctions and provide for the enforcement process of them in the context of quality control inspection of fresh fruit and vegetables, in accordance with the provisions of Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 2251/92 of 29 July 1992. Fruit and vegetables intended for consumption in the fresh state on the internal market or for export shall be subject to quality checking by the competent inspecting authorities of the Ministry of Foodstuffs. The goods shall be accompanied by an inspection certificate issued by the designated inspectors. Whereas the quality check reveals misconduct, ad-hoc, three-member committees will be established for the application of sanctions.
