The Coordinating Committee referred to in Ministerial Decree of 17 December 1999 may determine tha areas which are intended for clam repopulation and in which fishing may be prohibited during certain periods. The competent Harbour's Master may provide, by Ordinance, for the fishing technical interruption during one or more days per week (art. 3). At the initial stage of experimentation, the total allowable catch for clams per day amounts to 350 kg per vessel (art. 4, par. 1). Such maximum limit may be restricted by the competent Harbour's Master by Ordinance. Articles 5 and 6 concern inspections to be carried out on board. Article 7 lists out the control posts. Each fishing vessel is obliged, under article 8, to make a two months fishing interruption per year. Article 9 lays down penalties. Title II of the Decree contains particular provisions, exclusively relating to the maritime districts of Venezia and Chioggia, fixing the total allowable catch and indicating the landing posts during the experimentation stage.
