Abstract This Decree seeks to prevent spreading of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) by prohibiting importation of hazardous animal tissues such as brain, spinal cord, eyes, sweetbread, milt, lymphatic and nervous tissue, intestines of bovine animals, intestines of ovine and caprine animals, feedstuffs of animal origin such as meat meal, bone meal, blood meal and related products of feed containing such products. The importation of milk and dairy products, fish meal and fish feedstuffs is permitted in accordance with article I, section c, of this Decree.
