Abstract

Without any prejudice to Presidential Decree No. 54 of 1997, this Ministerial Decree lays down provisions relative to labelling and packaging requirements for fresh milk (as per Act No. 169 of 1989). The Act consists of only one article establishing the information to be provided in the label, including the origin of raw milk used to produce fresh milk. Nonetheless, labels and packages not complying with the requirements fixed therein may be placed on the market until selling out (but not after 30 September 2002).
