Abstract

The import from, or export to third countries are subject to the issue of a licence by the Ministry of Foreign Trade. As a consequence of the prohibition of imports for trading purposes, article 3 forbids the sale of specimens listed in Annex A, Appendix I and in Annex C, Part I of EC Regulation No. 3626/82, except for: (a) imports authorized before 1 January 1984; (b) all other cases established in article 6, paragraph 1 of EC Regulation No. 3626/82. The import from EC member countries is subject to the submission of one of the following documents to the appropriate certification service of the Forest Officers: (a) copy of the licence issued by the member country; (b) the "CITES" certificate issued by the exporting country: (c) the phytosanitary certificate issued by the exporting country. The export to EEC member countries may be allowed directly at the custom check points upon submission of the "CITES" certificate.
